Most eye problems should be seen by an eye doctor rather than a general urgent care or emergency room, because they have the equipment to actually look at the eye. Fairview Eyecare treats eye infections, pink eye, corneal abrasions, foreign bodies, sudden floaters or flashes, and eye pain, and bills these visits to medical insurance rather than vision insurance.
An urgent care can look at your eye with a penlight. We can look at it with a slit lamp, which is the difference between guessing and knowing.
