Specialty contact lenses at Fairview Eyecare include multifocal contacts, toric lenses for astigmatism, and custom lenses for keratoconus and irregular corneas. A fitting is separate from a glasses exam because the lens has to be checked on the eye, not just ordered from a power.
Multifocal contacts are for the person who is tired of taking readers on and off. They are not magic, and we will tell you if you are a poor candidate before you spend the fitting fee.
Irregular corneas and keratoconus need a different kind of lens entirely. If another office stopped at daily disposables, it is worth a second fit.
