We are independent. No corporate parent deciding how many minutes an exam gets, no quota on what has to be sold from the frame board. That shows up in small ways you notice and large ones you do not: the doctor has time to look at something twice, and nobody is incentivized to sell you glasses you do not need.
What we are building now is a practice organized around families who are still growing. Kids whose prescriptions change every year. Parents who suddenly cannot read a menu. Grandparents heading into cataract surgery. Those are different problems, and a practice that treats them all as “an eye exam” is not paying attention.
Good eyecare should feel simple. That is the whole idea. You should understand what we found, what it means, and what happens next — and you should not need a translator to get there.
